Cookies used by this website

The public NCLA website is intended to use only cookies and similar technologies needed for basic operation, security, caching and contact-form protection. Depending on the page and whether someone is signed in as a website administrator, these may include:

  • WordPress test and session cookies – used to check whether cookies work and to keep authorised administrators signed in. Session cookies normally expire when the browser is closed; administrator login cookies may remain for a limited period.
  • WordPress preference cookies – used for authorised administrators to remember dashboard and display preferences, normally for up to one year.
  • Security, caching and form-protection technologies – used to protect forms, reduce abuse and deliver pages reliably. These are retained only for the period required for their security or operational purpose.

These technologies are considered necessary for services requested by visitors or for secure website operation. They are not used by NCLA for advertising.

Analytics, advertising and social-media cookies

NCLA does not currently intend to place analytics or advertising cookies on visitors’ devices. Links to other websites and social-media pages do not place their cookies through the NCLA website merely because a link is displayed; the other organisation’s policy applies after you follow the link.

If analytics, advertising or embedded services that set non-essential cookies are introduced, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent or objection control will be provided before those technologies are used.

Your choices

You can use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may affect website administration or the operation of forms, although ordinary public pages should generally remain available.
